No money is required upon the 1st shooting. Afterwards, a photos-link will be sent for your review. You are only required to pay $5,000 if you would like to continue with the photo package. Once the money is received, further photo takings will continue and the photo albums and CD will be received at the end of the period.

Please note that the free trial is only offered in September. You can join the package anytime later but an upfront payment would be required.

I will come to take photos on the child for at least 4 times, trying to cover various activities of the child at school during the 3 months period. After the first time of shooting, a set of photos will be sent to you for review and comment.

In fact, I always come for more than 4 times for each child. At the beginning, usually I would not take any photos. I want the child to feel relax with my presence and my camera. At the same time, I observe their behaviour and character. Then I picture in my mind the "special elements" of the child which I would like to capture in my photo.

At the end, there will be AT LEAST 150 photos in total, which you can select 20 photos for the 5R album and 80 photos for the 4R photos. All the photos will be put in a photo CD, which you can print the photos out later up to 12R size.

The package covers a 3 months period starts from the date of 1st shooting, excluding the term break.

In my experience, there is no particular "best" time since a child's appearance and behaviour changes very quickly during these ages.

For example, some parents like to choose the 1st term, when the BIG change is happening to the child... from crying madly at the beginning to playing madly with their new friends. Some parents like to choose the second or third term because they want to see their child more "matured" and well adapted to school life. There are some parents actually continue with the package after its end since they would like to keep a record on their child growth.

Sometimes a child may be away from school for weeks due to sickness or holiday, or leave Small World due to parents' job relocation. If the parents can advise me earlier, I can arrange the shooting to fit into the remaining term. If a child is away from school for a prolonged time due to sickness, I can arrange an extension of time if possible.

Nothing. The parents are advised NOT to tell the child such photo shooting is arranged. Some children reacts differently if they know there is a photographer specifically taking photos on them. The aim of this photo package is to capture a child's life at school naturally.

 I am using Canon Mark II 1Ds which is the highest model of Canon Professional Digital Camera. The camera body itself costs HK$60,000 already. Also, all my lens are Canon; 50mm 1.4, 70-200mm 2.8, 16-35mm 2.8 and 24-70mm 2.8.

Although I also take wedding photos and news photos, in my opinion, children photography deserve the best equipment because children are the most unpredictable photo subjects. They just do things from their heart which changes in split of a second.

Taking good photos on children are real challenging and it never bores me.
